Portomarin and More Pilgrims

I passed the marker that says there are only 100 km left. I have been walking for 30 days and have been keeping track of my stats, but it hasn’t always come through, so here are today’s stats and totals

Today: 33,913 steps / 24.19km / 15.15 miles

Overall: 963,719steps / 693.40km / 456.24 miles

Sarria is a major starting point for many pilgrims, so today I saw a lots more people on the trail. The cafes and coffee stops were fuller, but the attitude was still very friendly. The province of Galicia is beautiful and the walk today, though up and down was still very enjoyable. I walked with my Israeli friend again which was fun and she invited Chrissy and me to visit her and her husband in Jerusalem. Sounds fun. Just 4 days to go. Here are some sights and sounds…Buen Camino.Luggage at hotel ready to be porteredLets begin with StairsStudents ready to startA mural of Father Elias Valina, who helped create the modern Camino.
