Foncebadon and Cruz de Ferro

This morning I passed a marker saying it was 250km to Santiago. I have entered the final third of my journey. I left Astrago this morning at the start of a beautiful day on my was to Forncebadon, which is the town just before the famous mountain top on the Camino called Cruz de Ferro. For the last 24 days I have been carrying rocks signed by my grandchildren to place at this spot. It is both a prayer and a hope for their futures in this world and with the Lord. I have so many to be thankful for, but if you all gave me a rock to carry I would not have made it, so know you are in my hearts. The walk today was climbing for 6 hours and the last 2 hours were at a steady pitch. It hiked up 656 meters or 2,152 feet. Tomorrow I add another 25 ok meters up and then descend all the way down over about 26km or 16 miles. The flat days of walking are over. Here are some sights for today. Buen Camino
