Landed in Spain
I started the journey on Monday morning, wide hair and all. I flew to Dallas and had a 4 hour layover that turned into 5. By our flight to Madrid Spain made up teatime and the connection from. Madrid to Pamplona was easy. I booked an a room about a 1/2 mile from the airport which was an easy walk. I am tired. I didn’t sleep on the plane, so tonight will feel good. While in the Madrid airport I met 3 people on the way to Pamplona to begin their Camino. One gentleman was from Texas and was starting at Pamplona. He was retired and fulfilling an item on his bucket list. A lady from Minnesota had been thinking about it for a year and was headed to St. Jean tomorrow. Another younger woman was. Headed o St. Jean tonight and starting tomorrow. As for me, I am headed to Roncesvalles tomorrow and begin on Thursday. Lots of people to meet and new stories to learn. Tonight for dinner I had a beer, gazpacho, fresh bread, beef stew with potatoes puree, and pudding for dessert. Very filling and good…$14.00. Below are a couple of pictures of me, and the hotel. Finally I added a road side laundry mat. It may come in handy in the future.
buen Camino
